London Clock is a project that focused on fast prototyping and 3D rendering using Solidworks and Keyshot. The clock prototype was designed using the laser-cutter. London is inspired by the map of London and the main streets dividing it. A line lasercut through the center of the clock represents the Thames River.
Map of the greater London area
Each layer is laser cut out of a different layer of birch plywood and the Thames River is etched onto each of the layers.
This design was etched onto a piece of clear plastic acrylic and slipped into a pocket in the front of the clock.
